LOYOLA'S SYMBOL AND IT'S INTERPRETATION

  1. The word "IHS" (Iesus Hominum Salvator) means Jesus The Savior of Mankind.
  2. The picture of a dove symbolizes the perpetual presence of the Holy Spirit that renders love.
  3. The picture of two wolves guarding a vase with heads lifted up is an embodiment of the warrior-like spirit wafted throughout the air of Loyola's castle.
  4. The word AMDG (Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam) carries the meaning that everything is done for the greater glory of God.

 

 

INTERPRETATION OF THE COLORS

  1. The color of red at the word IHS symbolizes wisdom and bravery.
  2. The color of white at the word IHS and the dove symbolizes holiness, purity, and cleanliness.
  3. The color of blue at the picture of wolves, border of the dove, and the frame of the whole symbol evoke a sense of longing.
  4. The yellow background depicted glory.

 

INTERPRETATION OF THE LOGO

The symbol, altogether with its colors, carries a profound meaning. Every intricate details of the logo reminds us, the members of Loyola's family, for the God's love has generated through the presence of His own son, Jesus Christ who takes the form of the Holy Spirit, to strive our best to expand our talents, intellectuality, and personality to the fullest extent regardless any hinders. All for one ultimate aim: the greater glory of God.
